This post honestly is just for me so I never forget.
Today I did my work-outs and went to pick Elsa up from school. Anna stayed home cause yesterday she was sick with a temp of 105.5. After I got Elsa from school I headed to Subway to grab a sandwich. They were a little busy. There was a older guy in front of me. I saw he had a couple of dollars and some change in his hands. When it was his turn, he asked the worker what he could get for $3. The worker looked at the menu and said he could get some soup. The guy asked if there was anyway he could get a sandwich. He would pay the rest when he got his veteran check. The worker thought for a few seconds and gave him a couple of options of sandwiches. He picked a meatball. He got it on wheat with provolone and toasted. He thanked the worker so much. He turned to me and just smiled. I smiled back. As his sandwich was toasting, he went and sat down and I gave my order. He got a little of all the veggies and salt, pepper and lots of Parmesan. He teasingly said they could put a bag of chips on his sandwich also. I couldn't not do anything. I went over to him, put my arm around him and told him to pick out some chips. I would buy him lunch. It floored him. He started crying. He was so happy. He was simply beaming. I handed him a cup to get a drink while they packed up his sandwich. When he came back over I handed him his sandwich and told him to have an amazing day. He simply said God bless you. Tears were still rolling down his cheeks. Never forget how his smile lit up your day. Never forget how grateful he was for something so small.

Day 30 Results!
Guess what! It has been 30 days since we started changing our lives. We took our measurements. We are still losing inches and pounds! We lost a combined 9.25 inches and 9 lbs in the last 2 weeks. That brings our 30 total to 27 lbs and 14.22 inches! We were going to take our pictures tonight, but time got away from us. We will take our pictures tomorrow. So excited to see the difference!

Accomplishment!
During DDP Yoga we go from Down Dog, bend your knees and either step or pounce into Bent Leg Bar Back. The last couple of times I have been able to pounce instead of step! So awesome! Also, Troy ordered us some heart rate monitors! So excited!!

If You Stumble...
"Never quit. If you stumble, get back up. What happened yesterday no longer matters. Today is a new day, so get back on track. Move closer to your dreams and goals. You can do it if you just believe in yourself."
Oh yeah. I stumbled this week. I'm still doing really good with my eating, but it is hard for me to work-out at night. I think I am going to start working out during the day while the girls are in school. I think that's a great plan. I can tell I have been losing inches! My belly doesn't hang over now! I'm going to step it up and really try my best to work-out each day. I do have some amazing goals I am going to reach!

Never Forget
Early this morning, a year ago, I was spending the night with my mom and my sweet grandpa. We knew he would be leaving this Earthly life and we didn't want him to be alone.
My mom was going to leave his room to go put her contacts in and then she was going to go pick up my grandma.
Before my mom left the room, I laid down next to my sweet grandpa and put my arm around him. The nurse said if I need anything to pull the cord. Everyone left and we were alone. I saw him exhale. I waited for what seemed forever (but really was a few seconds) for him to inhale. He did a short inhale and I just knew. I pulled the cord. My mom heard the alarm go off and came running. The CNA and nurse were right behind her. They listened to his heart. This was it. My mom and I got by him and just let him know we were there. We sang You Are My Sunshine and some other songs. Then he was gone.
I miss my grandpa terribly. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him. I know he is watching over me. And I'm so thankful that I am able to feel his presence and love.

Deliciously Painful
So I've been getting recipes together that are healthy. We had tried this one already but liked it so much, it made a repeat appearance. Eggplant Parmesan! So delicious!
We are into our 3rd week of doing DDP Yoga. I'm really feeling the burn now. I can feel my hardworking paying off. So painful yet so wonderful and rewarding!

Just Remember...
Today my body is reminding me to drink plenty of water. My body is trying to flush crap that I've put in it over all these years. I like this water bottle cause it helps keep track of how much I have downed!
