Reflection

I've really been enjoying my daily walk. A time to reflect on how things are going. I'm just over a quarter of the way to my goal of 100 miles by my 30th birthday!
No stinking 30-60 mph winds are going to stop me! DDP Yoga for today will be Energy and Red Hot Core! Bang!

Results

As I was on my walk I was thinking about what I'm doing and my goals. 100 miles by my 30th birthday and DDP Yoga. Honestly I have never FULLY completed a fitness (or any other) goal before. I would get excited, start, not see results and quit. What's different this time? For starters, I'm doing the DDP Yoga with my sweetheart. What is more motivating than working out with the one you love? Second, I'm seeing results. I can't even begin to say how excited I am about this fact! Third, I am feeling so much love for myself. I actually want to take care of myself. I'll be the first to admit that I really didn't like myself for a very long time. But times are changing! I'm changing and I'm loving it!

Oh Sweetness!

So last night we were going to try a meatloaf recipe. Well, the meat never thawed. So it was put off til tonight. So good!!! Even the kids are it up! Even Spiderman had 3 helpings!

This is our sweet Pit Bull Domi. She is the sweetest thing ever! Well, Anna got mad at Domi for sniffing her blanket and hit Domi's head. Not cool! Anna had to spend some time in time-out. She then had to go give Domi a hug and say sorry. But as you know, actions speak louder than words. Anna put her blanket and Teddy with Domi. I guess Anna really learned her lesson!

Dishonest....

I don't really care for people that aren't honest. Even if it is something little. Why can't we just be honest in everything we do and say? I was so excited when Troy told me he got me a watch that is a heart rate monitor and also counts calories. Well this is what I received today. Troy received one just like it yesterday....
This is what the eBay description was for both of them...
Notice the box didn't say anything about counting calories? Yeah bummed me out!! Oh well, got my meat thawing for our meatloaf and going to get my work-outs done.

30 Day Pictures!!!!

We finally got our pictures taken! So excited and proud of us!!!

I Hereby Declare Today..,..

Today is No Excuse Thursday!!! It starts out with my daily exercises. DDP Yoga we did Wake Up and Fat Burner.
What I did today for No Excuse Thursday is I made salads!! My mom told me about these little cups at Wal-mart (paper goods aisle). I love them! I have used them to make my kids sugar-free jello and pudding cups. But today I used them for chipotle ranch dressing, pico de gallo, cheese and garlic crispy pepper onions. I made 12 salads.
In the salads I put (in order) carrots, green pepper, celery, tomato, chicken and stuffed them full of spinach. I prefer spinach to lettuce. Now they are all ready for me to grab and toss together. Great so Troy can grab them for work if he wants.
What are you doing for No Excuse Thursday?

Just For Me

This post honestly is just for me so I never forget.
Today I did my work-outs and went to pick Elsa up from school. Anna stayed home cause yesterday she was sick with a temp of 105.5. After I got Elsa from school I headed to Subway to grab a sandwich. They were a little busy. There was a older guy in front of me. I saw he had a couple of dollars and some change in his hands. When it was his turn, he asked the worker what he could get for $3. The worker looked at the menu and said he could get some soup. The guy asked if there was anyway he could get a sandwich. He would pay the rest when he got his veteran check. The worker thought for a few seconds and gave him a couple of options of sandwiches. He picked a meatball. He got it on wheat with provolone and toasted. He thanked the worker so much. He turned to me and just smiled. I smiled back. As his sandwich was toasting, he went and sat down and I gave my order. He got a little of all the veggies and salt, pepper and lots of Parmesan. He teasingly said they could put a bag of chips on his sandwich also. I couldn't not do anything. I went over to him, put my arm around him and told him to pick out some chips. I would buy him lunch. It floored him. He started crying. He was so happy. He was simply beaming. I handed him a cup to get a drink while they packed up his sandwich. When he came back over I handed him his sandwich and told him to have an amazing day. He simply said God bless you. Tears were still rolling down his cheeks. Never forget how his smile lit up your day. Never forget how grateful he was for something so small.
